The Brief

The Edgbaston Priory Club is a private member’s tennis, squash and leisure club in Birmingham. The club is the host of the annual WTA tour stop, the Nature Valley Classic. EPC were looking for an agency that could help with a major rebrand project to help reposition the club retaining the brand heritage whilst positioning the club as an exciting and accessible members club.

Our Approach

S2 was initially tasked to help with a rebrand of the club, which was subsequently followed by the redesign and build of the website and additional sales and marketing collateral.  The rebrand stage required buy in from the board and key stakeholders. The key objective to retain elements of the phoenix, conveying their long standing heritage whilst presenting the club as a modern and contemporary brand.

A new website was designed and built ensuring ease of use and functionality for both existing members and potential members. S2 provided ongoing sales and marketing collateral to help with both external and internal campaigns and promotions.  EPC needed to raise their profile, generating awareness in the local area whilst also engaging and communicating with their existing members to ensure they were kept aware and informed of initiatives being run at the centre.  S2 was tasked to develop quarterly newsletters, annual AGM reports, direct mail (DM) and leaflets for specific promotional campaigns and internal signage and banners within an annual marketing retainer.

The Result

The work was a huge success with members, board members and all stakeholders. We worked closely with EPC across both on and offline marketing collateral which helped EPC retain their membership targets for leisure and racquet members.
