Pete is an experienced CEO with a strong background in consumer brands and high street retail. With an early career spanning senior management sales, marketing and operations in the pub, leisure and hospitality industry he rose to become Head of Marketing at Chef & Brewer Group plc, the UK’s leading managed house pub and restaurant company. Pete then moved agency side in the late 90’s as Managing Director of both Market Location and Consumer Surveys and also held a board position at ML’s and CSL’s marketing services parent company, Dudley Jenkins Group plc, managing the strategic direction of the group’s 11 companies post its sale to Wegener DM in 2000.
A Fellow of The Institute of Direct Marketing, Pete founded Serendipity2 in 2001. Operating in the Food, Drink, Leisure, Hospitality, Travel, Retail, Grocery and Fashion sectors, S2’s award winning customer insight work provides deep level analytical insight and unrivalled expertise in helping to shape, plan and execute strategies for consumer brands and retailers in a rapidly evolving on and offline marketplace. A general manager and marketer at heart, when not working he is to be found on the ski slopes, playing tennis or cycling, in the gym, supporting Everton FC or consoling himself in his local pub.
